About Us

The Interfraternity Council at Texas State University is a collegiate chapter of the North-American Interfraternity Conference

The Interfraternity Council (IFC) is a board of student leaders who are elected to govern the 11 fraternities under the IFC. They operate on the values of Integrity, Service, Scholarship, Commitment, and Friendship.

The purpose of IFC shall be to promote and maintain fraternal ideals, spirit and leadership among fraternities at Texas State University; promote and ensure cooperation among the fraternities, their National Organizations, the University administration, and the community; aid in the development and maturation of individual fraternity members; provide a medium for the exchange of ideas among the various fraternities; coordinate the fraternities in order to make them as effective as possible; and promote the interest of college fraternities in general.
